Wainwright Vintage Greetings Cards

Wainwright Vintage Greetings Cards – Complete Set of 12.

These original cards were produced by the Westmorland Gazette to support Abbot Hall in Kendal, alongside the Wainwright in Lakeland book published in 1983. Those who visited the Wainwright exhibition at The Armitt in 2025 may recognise these cards, which were on display.

There are 12 different cards in the set, each supplied with its own envelope. They feature black and white Wainwright sketches, with Wainwright’s signature printed on the front. Some cards are blank inside, while others carry the printed message “Best Wishes” in Wainwright’s recognisable handwriting.

They are now over four decades old and are part of Wainwright printing history. Back in the 1980s, many customers purchased them for framing. Both Wainwright and Betty regularly wrote messages in these cards to send to fans.

I am letting a limited number of these pristine sets go from my archive.
