A significant milestone was celebrated in 2025 with the release of a new The Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells – 70th Anniversary Edition box set.
Alfred Wainwright Books & Memorabilia has agreed with book publisher Frances Lincoln to produce this new Wainwright Pictorial Guide boxset, incorporating several enhancements and updated prelims. The box and dust jackets will be adorned with silver, symbolising the 70th anniversary, traditionally associated with platinum. The books will maintain their classic look, returning to hardback cases and dust jackets, with updated colours and elegant silver blocking.
The first impression of this box set sold out in just nine months. This is the second print run, which arrived in January 2026.
